Boise friends visit

We had a fun-filled week of adventure when our Boise friends, the Lennbergs came to visit. We spent a whole day in S.F. and another in Monterey, and then spent the days in between chillin'. And did I mention that the weather was absolutely PERFECT the whole week??!! We also went to the park, took the kids to get fro-yo, made a trip to Trader Joes, and did lots of playing in my parents' beautiful, spacious backyard. It was an exhausting week, to say the least, without husbands around to help (or Grandma-she was in UT), but we were victorious at managing the troops (but not to say without a few melt-downs)! :)

Austin and Brinlee were so cute together and played so well with each other. Austin told me one night when I was putting him to bed that he's "going to marry Brinlee in the temple someday", but that he can "only marry one person, not two, in the temple" (he has 2 girlfriends). We'll see what happens! Regardless, those two have a special friendship.

We managed to get some beautiful photographs of the kids and scenery, mostly thanks to Courtney, my photog friend! (Her pictures to come in a few weeks.) All in all, it was a fabulous week and we were so grateful to be able to spend time with our good friends. Court-you are an amazing friend, thank you for everything!

Here's our adventures in San Fran...

Austin, in front of Pier 39

Carson, a little scared riding the carosel

Calling out to the ferry boats

Alcatraz-we told them if the kids that if they weren't good, that's where they would go. :)

Picking out some Salt Water taffy

Carson watching the sea lions, and imitating their barks

Austin and Brinlee canoodling. If they were much older, I would be concerned.

Getting up close and personal with the sea lions

The crew. We were quite brave, I might add.

Carson chasing the pigeons

Feeding the swans and ducks trail mix. Luckily they ate only the nuts.

Courtney and I, in front of Palace of Fine Arts

Climbing a tree

Austin enjoying the view, and what a view!

Playing in the sand

Great view of the Golden Gate

Probably my fave view is from Marin Headlands. City, bridge, hills, and the Pacific. Breathtaking!

I love this shot too.
