I can't believe that Austin is 8! How time flies! For his birthday this year we opted for a more family affair (we do a friend party every other year). Luckily, his birthday was on Memorial Day, so Eric even had the day off! We went to lunch at Chipolte (his choice), went bowling with a few friends, and then had a family birthday party at home that night.
Austin will be baptized next Saturday, June 1st. What a big day for him and our family! We have watched him really mature over this last year, especially spiritually. He is ready. We are so proud of the boy that Austin is. He is a natural leader, helpful, independent, energetic, happy, and sensitive. Most importantly, Austin is such a good example to his family and friends. He strives to do the right thing and be obedient. I also love how spiritually deep he is. He understands gospel principles and the scriptures better than most kids his age, and has a true desire to live it too.
We love you Austin! We are so happy you came into our family 8 years ago!
