Our first week in CA was a hit! A little relaxation, a lot of fun, and mostly, good quality time spent with Grandma and Grandpa! We spent a day in the city, a day playing at the neighbor's pool, going to the movies, riding bikes around Angel Island, and helping Grandpa in his workshop!
The kids loved the Exploritorium in SF. It's a really cool science exploration museum for kids of all ages. It was like herding cats there! They loved it!
This structure was built entirely from toothpicks by one man! It took almost 20 years to complete!
This was a really cool outside play structure that had all kinds of hidden passageways and tunnels to climb in. So creative!
Of course we had to go to Ghiradelli for some ice cream!
We even rode a pedi-cab from Ghiradelli back to our car! That was a fun experience and way to see the city.
Coit tower. You used to be able to climb the stairs all the way up, but now they make you take the elevator. Still worth the view!
Can they smile normal for a picture?!
One of our favorite activities while visiting Grandma and Grandpa--swimming at the neighbor's pool. Seriously, it's the coolest pool!
Helping in Grandpa's workshop. I love that they love to do this with him. He loves it too. :)
When I was a kid we used to take a ferry and bike around Angel Island. I forgot how much fun that is! The kids were serious troopers, especially Carson who peddled his little legs out for 5 miles UP HILLS!
The views around the island are spectacular.
It was a perfect day biking and picnicking around the island. Love this city and we couldn't have asked for better weather!
