Vegas girls trip

For Lauren's 30th birthday we planned a girls weekend in Las Vegas, something that NONE of us had ever done before (since having kids).  Courtney put together a itinerary that was awesome!  The best part of it was Lauren's 30 "Dares", all which she had to do while we were there! (See picture above)

Dinner the first night was at El Segundo Sol on the strip. Can't go wrong with delicious Mexican food!

Fremont Street, the old "Strip".  It's quite the experience and one that lasted all of an hour because we felt like we needed a shower after walking up and down that street! :)

Love me some "Kiss"!

The Pool.  Ahhh... 80 degrees, sunshine, no kids to watch, just relaxation!  I didn't know what to do with myself!

In my younger years, I enjoyed laying out and taking a nap by the pool.  But after getting melanoma and not being used to just chillin by the pool anymore (kids will do that to you), I probably only lasted 1 hour and that was with plenty of sunscreen on!

We spent an hour or so at the wax museum.  Some of those wax figures look identical to their real person!  Loved Snoop Dogg--dead ringer.

Love me some J.T. too.  He's pretty HOT!

Courtney and Lauren braided Sandra Bullock's hair!  Pretty funny.

The Venetian Hotel.  Pretty beautiful, but not as beautiful as the real thing, of course.

Court took "selfies" of everyone, they turned out pretty great!

Dinner on night #2 was at Mon Ami Gabi, a French bistro restaurant at the Paris Hotel.  Right across from the Bellagio water fountains.  The food, atmosphere, everything was incredible!

For one of Lauren's dares, she had to kiss a midget.  Little did she know that the guy would pull a fast one on her and plant on smack on the lips! :)  We had some good laughs over that one....

We walked all up and down the strip that night and had a blast!  Spent some time in the M&M Factory, went in Sugar Factory, walked through the Bellagio, saw lots of crazy people, just soaked in Vegas!

Bellagio Gardens.  Breathtaking.

Bellagio water fountain show.  It was cool, but only lasted a few minutes!

Saturday night we drove to the south end of town and ate dinner at Brio, an Italian restaurant at Towne Square Plaza.  Neat little shopping area, reminded me of Cali!

My good friend, Ashley, who lives in Vegas met up with us Sat. night. I just love her!

One of the highlights of the trip was seeing the Spazmatics in concert!  They are this goofy 80's cover band and they're really good!  Best part, other than the $5 entrance fee, was dancing and singing to our favorite 80's songs!

They dress up like nerds.  Pretty rad.

We made it 10 minutes to closing to Serendipity, a famous ice cream parlor that is world famous for their frozen hot chocolate.  Their frozen amaretto was to die for!

Brunch at the Palms restaurant, Simon.  And yes, other than an elaborate buffet style breakfast, they serve you cotton candy when you're done!  How cool is that!
