Carson at 5 months

So big, and look at that smile!

Carson turned 5 months old today, I can't believe how much he's grown in such a short time and how fast they change at this age! At 4 months, he was 18 lbs. and nearly 27 inches long-in the 95%ile!!!! (So, of course everyone expects him to be like 7 months.) He's such a cutie though-always smiling, laughing, and flirting with anyone who will look his way! He remains to be one of the easiest, laid-back babies I've ever known (thank goodness!). He even goes to sleep completely on his own by sucking his thumb! He sleeps great at night (has for quite some time now), takes a good 3 hour nap in the afternoon, and already seems to be loving baby food. He's getting closer to sitting up on his own, obviously rolls over, scoots on his tummy, and is starting to grab his feet while laying on his back.

Carson has many nicknames too now, some of our favs include Bubbers, Bugger-man, Chubbs or Chubbers, Little Man, and Stinkers just to name a few. Even Austin calls him these names. Carson is fascinated with his big brother too-he could watch him for hours whirling around him. And Austin is such a good big brother-he sings to him, helps me feed and change him, likes to blow raspberries on his tummy, eat his toes, and he even likes to climb up in the crib and talk to him when Carson wakes up from naps. It's so precious! Carson has been such a blessing to our family, I don't know what we would do without him!


Austin helping me feed Carson rice cereal for the first time at 4 mos. It was hilarious because he was just laughing at his big brother the whole time!
