First ski of the year

Excuse these pictures, they are crappy because I took them with my phone which has a broken camera lens. I forgot my camera! Next time... ;)

We finally got out on the ski slopes for the first time this year on Sat! Bogus Basin, our local resort opened only a week ago (due to lack of snow), so we were itching to get up there! This was Carson's first time really skiing on his own (last year he was between our legs) and he did GREAT! He caught onto the "pizza" (aka snow plow) fast, to slow himself down or stop. We were so proud of him and more importantly, so glad that he LOVED it! Bonus!

Austin, of course, did great too. It's always a little re-learning at the beginning of the season, but after a couple of runs, his muscle memory came back and he was in the groove! He loves going fast, doing "french fries" and racing Eric and me. Oh boy, if that's any indication of what's to come! It was a beautiful, sunny day on the mountain, not too cold, and we had the best time skiing together as a family. There will be certainly be LOTS of good memories on the ski slopes together, for it is one of our favorite pasttimes to do as a family. What better way to spend the day together, than doing something you all love, outside in nature? I can't think of anything better. What a fun day!
