Grandpa Mac talking with the grandbabies. When Grandpa speaks, everybody listens! ;)
While we were visiting my parents in CA, we were also able to attend Eric's grandpa's funeral in Paradise, CA. Almost the whole family attended, which was a special treat to see everyone. For 2 days we basically just hung out at the hotel--swimming and goofing off at the pool and hanging in our rooms watching movies and the Olympics. We also got together with extended family for meals and that was also fun.
The funeral was really neat. The best part was when all the grandsons got up and sang the song that Grandpa Sam sang to his sweetheart all the time. They each handed her a yellow rose during the song and she was filled with joy! There wasn't a dry eye in the room!
We are so thankful for family, both immediate and extended and feel so blessed to have the wonderful families that we have!
