Our second week in CA was equally fun as the first week. We saw a couple of movies, Brave (loved) and Ice Age Contenental Drift. We went to the Santa Cruz boardwalk one day and then rode the steam train in the Redwoods of the Santa Cruz mountains (breathtaking!). We spent another day at Sea Cliff beach playing in the surf and sand and enjoying the beautiful weather, sunshine, and good ole' California scenery.
Towards the end of the second week, my dad took the boys camping to Lake De Valle. They had a blast roasting marshmallows, playing on the shore, and riding a boat. What a good grandpa he is! We are so lucky to have such incredible, loving, and present grandparents on both sides. All in all, it was a good time in CA! Next stop....UT!
Riding the rides at the Boardwalk
Ferris wheel!

We love the flying swings!
Getting ready to ride the steam train!
Boys were in awe of both the train and the tall trees.
What's his deal? All of sudden he decides he needs naps again?!
This is my favorite shot of the trees. Breathtaking.
Our cute ole' train conductor
Watching the waves. It was the most gorgeous day at the beach!

We decided to see where this crack in the cave led...
Only thing missing from this day? Dad, of course!
Grandpa took the boys camping. Give them fire and a stick and you got hours of endless entertainment. Boys will be boys.
