The birthday boy-lovin' the balloons and the silly hats we all wore on his behalf
Carson opening his presents, with his brothers' help, of course! (who kinda took over)
Despite half of our family feeling under the weather yesterday for Carson's birthday (Carson included), we still managed to have a fun, low-key party for the little man complete with balloons (Carson would've been perfectly entertained with just those), a soccer ball cake (the kid loves balls), and a few presents. Of course, the highlight was Carson digging into his cake without hestitating and then devouring probably 3 pieces with just his hands (see video below). Good thing we stripped him down to just his diaper because that black frosting (don't worry, it was chocolate, not TAR) got all over the place! He was completely content eating his cake and probably would've attempted at eating the whole thing if I would've let him! We had some good laughs, Austin especially got a kick out of it (since he wouldn't even touch his cake with a 10 foot pole when he turned 1) and kept saying, "Carson, you are a mess maker!" Good times we enjoyed and it was fun to have my mom here to help us celebrate the occassion! Enjoy the photos and video...

Happy birthday Carson. He is so big. We are coming to Boise in July so we have to play no matter what. We are going to Cali over Memorial weekend that should be fun. Hope Boise is treating you good. BTW your new hair looks amazing. Ash
Wow. . . he really did enjoy that cake! Can you believe how time flies? It's so hard to believe he's already 1!
